The Islay jug is mouth blown by master glassblowers to create a weighty small jug, the rim is scissor-cut to achieve a soft thick finish. The spout is formed by using a wooden tool while the glass is still malleable. The wooden coaster is shaped from American walnut and treated with food safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of colour. The wood is sourced from sustainably-managed forests and certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
