Styling tips
Black velvet looks rich against warm whites, soft greys or a muted sage wall. Add crisp white or blush bedding to lift the dark frame, and a brass or gold bedside lamp to pick up the glam feel. In smaller Dubai and Sharjah apartments, place the bed lengthways against a wall to keep the floor open, and choose a slim bedside table rather than a bulky chest. A textured rug in cream or camel softens the look underfoot.
