Styling tips
Black upholstery works well against light walls. Try warm white, sand or soft grey paint to let the headboard stand out. Layer the bed with crisp white linen and a textured throw in camel or rust for warmth.
Give the bed space to breathe. Centre it on the main wall with a bedside table on each side, and allow room to walk around both sides. A large rug in a neutral tone under the lower two-thirds of the bed will ground the look. Brass or warm-toned table lamps soften the dark fabric in the evening.
