Materials & making
Mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create a classic tall-footed container and lid. The container has a rounded flattened ball stem to which the foot is shaped and applied by hand while the glass is still malleable. The rim is melted under a flame to achieve a soft finish. The domed lid is blown and the rim is melted, with a shaped knob applied.
