Mount the camera high on an exterior wall, angled down towards the gate, driveway or front door. Set the lens wide at 2.8mm to cover a courtyard or garden. Zoom towards 12mm to focus on a gate or parking spot further away. In villas, pair one camera at the entrance with others covering side paths. Run the PoE cable neatly along walls or through conduit for a tidy finish. Keep the lens clear of bright lights that shine straight into it at night.
