The Pipe Cleaner Magic Crystal kit turns a simple craft into a small science experiment. Children bend pipe cleaners into shapes they choose, then grow crystals on them in a homemade solution. It suits curious kids who like making things, and parents looking for a screen-free activity for a weekend afternoon at home.
Key features
Craft and science in one: fold and shape the pipe cleaners, then grow crystals on them.
Crystal powder included: dissolves in hot water to form a saturated solution.
Everything to set it up: a plastic glass, a transparent stirring rod and wooden sticks to hold your shape in the solution.
Visible results: the instructions refer to results after about 3 hours.
Cream-coloured kit in a compact box.
Specifications
Product size: 22.7 x 19 x 7.2 cm
Packaging size: 22.7 x 19 x 7.2 cm
Colour: Cream
How it works
Shape the pipe cleaners into your design, keeping in mind that the pieces must fit inside the plastic glass. Dissolve the crystal powder in hot water, stirring with the transparent rod until fully dissolved, then let it cool. Use the wooden sticks to suspend your shape in the solution and wait for the crystals to form. Because the activity uses hot water, an adult should handle that step.
Styling tips
Set up on a kitchen table or a wipe-clean desk, away from busy walkways, so the glass can sit undisturbed. Once dry, display the finished crystal shapes on a bookshelf or windowsill in a kids' room, where light catches them nicely. Pastel stars, hearts or initials look sweet against cream or white shelving.
