Materials & making

Mouth-blown by skilled glassblowers. Both rims are melted with a flame to achieve a soft rounded rim. The foot is shaped and attached to the stem of the cakestand by hand.The dome with a subtly fluted texture is hand painted with an iridescent lustre and fired to achieve the pearlescent finish.
