Styling tips
Set up a small ironing corner in a utility room or spare bedroom, with a sturdy ironing board near a socket and good light. Start with delicate fabrics such as silk and nylon on a low setting, then move up to cotton and linen so you are not waiting for the plate to cool. Wrap the cord once the iron is cool and store it upright on a shelf to keep the plate clean. In compact Dubai or Sharjah apartments, a wall-mounted board and hook keep everything out of sight.
