The Oblate Vase is a small, sculptural amber glass vase with a flattened, spherical shape and a pillar stem that sits in a solid walnut base. It suits anyone who likes decor with a handmade feel. It works on a console, a bedside table or a dining table, and it fits neatly into compact Dubai and Sharjah apartments as well as larger villas.
Each piece is mouth-blown by master glassblowers into wooden moulds to create a sphere. The glass is then squashed by hand with wooden tools, which gives every vase its own soft, slightly individual form.
Key features
Mouth-blown glass shaped by hand for a crafted, one-of-a-kind look
Squashed, spherical form on a slim pillar stem
FSC-certified walnut base that lifts the glass and adds warmth
Versatile use as a vase, planter or lantern, or simply as a decorative object
Compact size that sits comfortably on shelves and side tables
Care: Handwash the glass in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Wipe the wood with a damp cloth and leave to dry naturally.
Styling tips
Amber glass glows when light passes through it, so place the vase near a window or under a table lamp. Pair it with warm neutrals such as sand, cream and terracotta, or let it contrast with deep green or navy walls.
Add a single stem, a few dried grasses or a small succulent for a relaxed look. As a lantern, a tea light creates a soft evening glow for the dining table or majlis side table. Group it with books and ceramics in odd numbers for a balanced shelf display.
Delivery
We offer delivery across the UAE, from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain.
