Styling tips
Navy blue velvet loves contrast. Pair it with crisp white or ivory bed linen and a textured throw in mustard, blush or soft grey. Brass or gold bedside lamps lift the colour and add warmth in the evening.
Keep walls light, such as warm white or pale greige, so the headboard stands out. Centre the bed on the longest wall and leave space on both sides for bedside tables. A large neutral rug under the lower two-thirds of the bed softens the room and anchors the layout.
