Styling tips
Black velvet looks its best against light walls. Try warm white, soft grey or greige to let the tufting and chrome trim stand out. Layer the bed with crisp white linen and a velvet or faux fur throw in charcoal or emerald for depth.
Echo the chrome nail heads with mirrored or metallic bedside tables and a pair of glass table lamps. Leave at least 60 cm of walkway on each side so the wingback has room to breathe, and centre the bed on the main wall to make it the focal point of the room.
