Styling tips
Place the sofa with its corner against two walls to open up the centre of the room. Face it towards the TV or a window. Brown sits well with cream, sand and off-white walls. Add cushions in olive, terracotta or mustard for contrast.
A round coffee table softens the angles of an L-shape and keeps walkways clear. Ground the seating area with a jute or textured wool-look rug. A slim floor lamp at the open end adds reading light without taking up space.
