Styling tips
Place the vase on a console or coffee table where it can catch natural light, so the lustre comes alive. Its low, wide shape works well as a dining table centrepiece because it will not block conversation. Pair it with cream, ivory or warm wood tones for a classic look, or set it against charcoal and brass for something richer. Fill it with short-stemmed roses or a loose bunch of eucalyptus. In a majlis or formal sitting room, group it with candles on a tray for a layered, welcoming display.

Materials & making
Mouth blown by skilled glassblowers to create a spherical vase. Layers of coloured and clear glass are gathered and shaped before blowing into the mould. The rim is scissor cut to achieve a thick, rounded finish. An iridescent lustre is applied by hand while the glass is still hot.
The Epoque Vase measures 18cm high and 24.5cm wide. As it is handmade, the size may vary slightly from piece to piece.
How do I clean a mouth-blown lustre glass vase?
Handwash it in warm soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth. This helps protect the iridescent lustre finish.
What is cased-coloured glass?
Cased-coloured glass is made by layering coloured glass during blowing, which gives the colour depth. On this vase it is finished with an iridescent lustre.
What flowers suit this vase?
Its rounded shape suits a compact bouquet or just a few stems of flowers or foliage. Short-stemmed blooms look especially balanced in it.
