The City Dome is a glass cake dome with walnut base, made for people who like to serve with a little ceremony. A mouth-blown clear glass dome sits neatly on a stepped, oiled walnut base. Use it for a cheese board after dinner, a cake at a family gathering or pastries on the coffee table when guests drop by. It suits anyone who hosts often and wants a serving piece that looks good left out on the counter.
Key features
Mouth-blown glass: each dome is shaped by skilled glassblowers, so small variations are part of its character.
Stepped walnut base: the dome fits securely on the oiled walnut base.
Responsibly sourced wood: walnut from FSC-certified sources.
Nesting design: can be placed inside the larger City domes to build a nesting set.
Versatile serving: ideal for cheese, cakes and baked treats.

Care

Styling tips
Place the dome on a kitchen island or sideboard as a permanent display, filled with a seasonal cake or a stack of macarons. The warm walnut pairs well with marble, white oak and matte black finishes. For a layered look, nest it with larger City domes or group it with ceramic plates and linen napkins on the dining table. During Eid or Ramadan gatherings, it makes a smart centrepiece for dates and sweets.

Materials & making
Skilled glassblowers gather and blow the glass dome into a wooden mould to create the shape. The rim is melted by a flame to create a soft rounded finish. The board is shaped from American walnut and treated with food safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of colour. The wood is sourced from sustainably-managed forests.
