Specifications
Height: 10 cm
Width: 13 cm
Material: 100% recycled glass, mouth-blown
Style code: CQ11
SKU: G1581-10-161
Care: handwash in warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth
Styling tips
Place it on a bright windowsill so light passes through the glass and shows off the roots. Group two or three on a kitchen shelf or dining table for a simple, living centrepiece. A hyacinth or amaryllis bulb gives height and colour, while a single sprig of eucalyptus or a few stems of greenery work well when you use it as a vase. It pairs naturally with pale oak, linen and stone tones, and looks just as good against darker walls.
Tip: top up the water so it just touches the base of the bulb, and refresh it regularly.
Delivery
We offer delivery across the UAE, from Abu Dhabi and Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. Glass pieces are packed with care in recycled and recyclable packaging.
A small mouth-blown vase and bulb planter in 100% recycled glass, created with the Eden Project. The bulb sits in the top section while its roots grow in water below.
Due to its handmade nature, the size of this item may vary slightly.
Style code: CQ11
Materials & making
The Canopy vase/bulb planter is mouth blown from recycled glass. Locally-sourced clear jars and bottles are sorted, crushed and heated in the furnace until molten. The skilled glassblower gathers, shapes and then blows the molten glass into a mould to form the vase/bulb planter. Air bubbles will occur as part of this 100% recycled and handmade process.
It measures 10 cm high and 13 cm wide. Because it is mouth-blown by hand, the size may vary slightly from piece to piece.
How does a bulb planter vase work?
The bulb sits in the upper section of the Canopy vase while its roots grow down into the water held in the lower section. This lets you grow and watch a bulb indoors without soil.
What is the Canopy vase made from?
It is mouth-blown from 100% recycled and recyclable glass. It was created in partnership with the Eden Project.
How do I clean the glass bulb planter?
Handwash it in warm soapy water and dry it with a soft cloth.
