Styling tips
Cream velvet loves texture. Layer it with cushions in caramel, sage or dusty blue, and add a chunky knit or linen throw for contrast. A wool or jute rug in a warm tone grounds the sofa and stops a pale room from feeling flat.
For a modern look, pair it with a marble or smoked-glass coffee table and brass or black metal accents. Place the sofa facing the main focal point, such as the TV wall or a window, and leave a clear walkway behind or beside it. In family rooms, keep a side table within reach for drinks to protect the light fabric.
Velvet catches the light beautifully, so position it where it gets soft daylight, but away from harsh direct sun to help the colour stay fresh.
