Styling tips
Charcoal is a forgiving, grounding shade. Layer it with white or soft grey bed linen and a textured throw in mustard, blush or sage for warmth. Brass or matt black bedside lamps work well against the dark fabric.
Give the headboard space to shine. Centre the bed on the longest wall and keep the wall above it simple, perhaps one large framed print. In smaller rooms, slim floating bedside shelves keep the floor clear and let the tufted panel do the talking.
