Styling tips
Set the tea service on a round wooden tray at the centre of a coffee table or majlis setting. Your guests can then help themselves. A plain white or soft blue tablecloth lets the rose pattern stand out, while linen napkins in navy or sage pick up the floral tones. For afternoon tea, place the cake plates beside each cup and saucer, with the sugar and milk pots within easy reach. Between uses, display the teapot and a few cups on an open shelf or in a glass cabinet as a decorative accent.
