Styling tips
Cream is easy to live with. Pair it with warm oak or walnut chairs for a soft, natural look, or with black metal frames for more contrast. Add upholstered chairs in sand, taupe or sage to keep the scheme relaxed.
For layout, allow clear space around the table so chairs pull out comfortably, and plan for the longer length if you entertain often. A linear pendant or a pair of pendants centred over the table defines the dining zone in an open-plan space. A jute or neutral wool rug larger than the table frames it neatly.
