The Anar Gardenia Monstera Swiss cheese plant (Monstera deliciosa), also known as the split-leaf philodendron or monkey leaf plant, brings big, sculptural greenery into your home. It arrives at 70-80 cm tall in a 20 cm pot. It suits first-time plant owners and collectors alike, and works well in a living room, office or kitchen.
Key features
Statement foliage: large leaves with the natural splits Monstera is known for.
Medium size: 70-80 cm tall, so it fills a corner without overpowering it.
Partial sun: suited to bright rooms without harsh direct light.
Climbing habit: aerial roots give vertical support. As it has no suckers to pull itself up, a coir pole helps train it upwards.
Easy to care for: a forgiving houseplant that is simple to manage.

Styling tips
Place your Monstera a little back from a bright window, where it gets light but no harsh midday sun. It looks lovely beside a sofa or reading chair, softening the room's corners. Pair it with a woven basket or a matte ceramic planter in white, terracotta or charcoal for a modern or Scandinavian feel. In a Dubai or Sharjah apartment, one Monstera can be the main green focal point. In a larger villa, group it with smaller plants at varying heights. Add a coir pole as it grows to keep it upright and tidy.
