Styling tips
Let the striped velvet headboard be the focal point. Place the bed against a plain wall in warm white, greige or soft taupe so the channel tufting stands out. Layer crisp white bedding with a textured throw in charcoal, blush or sage for contrast. Matching bedside tables in light oak or brushed brass add warmth, and a large rug that extends past the sides of the bed grounds the room. In a smaller apartment bedroom, keep side furniture slim so the bed has space to breathe.
